Welcome to Journal of Neurointervention (JNI)

Published: 2024-08-07

Since the beginning of the 21st century, the global field of neurointervention has entered an era of rapid development. With the deepening of research on the pathogenesis of cerebrovascular diseases and the emergence of new concepts, technologies, materials, and instruments, the field of neurointervention in China is growing rapidly, and its international influence continues to rise. Thus, a journal that embodies both national insights and international perspectives on the latest development of neurointervention is urgently needed. Moreover, in February 2020, China’s Ministry of Science and Technology encouraged the publication of high-quality papers, which reaffirms our determination to respond to the national call to establish an active, high-quality journal. For these reasons, Journal of Neurointervention (JNI) was born.

The goal of JNI is to provide a professional platform for international learning and communication in the field of neurointervention. As an open access, peer-reviewed international journal, JNI is dedicated to highlighting the latest advances in the field of neurointervention, providing practical information, expert opinions, consensus and controversies. The journal will cover topics including the diagnosis and treatment of cerebrovascular diseases, translational medicine, and the application of big data and artificial intelligence in a clinical context. Articles will be presented in the form of original articles, reviews, commentaries, consensus/guidelines and case reports.

The launch of JNI represents our determination to make it a highly respected interdisciplinary journal in the field of neurointervention both in China and internationally. We have invited Prof. Adnan H. Siddiqui, Prof. Jens Fiehler, and many domestic and international experts in the field of neurointervention to serve as editorial board members, who will rigorously review and evaluate each manuscript and provide practical advice in the context of forward-thinking and clinical practice. While actively tracking the latest advances and cutting-edge research results, JNI will delve into the essence of global innovation and development in the field of neurointervention, facilitating the integration of new knowledge and researches.

Lastly, we would like to thank our peers around the globe for your help and support in making this journal possible. In addition, we would like to express our sincerest gratitude to the members of the editorial board. We firmly believe that JNI will promote the academic prosperity and technological progress in the field of neurointervention in China and the world with a new concept, a broad vision and a rigorous attitude!
