Dr. Rosalind Lai is an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at the State University of New York (SUNY). She completed her medical school training at Harvard Medical School with Cum Laude and Honors in Neurosurgery, and pursued her residency training in Neurological Surgery at Harvard’s prestigious Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Boston Children’s Hospital. After residency, Dr. Lai pursued a fellowship in endovascular neurosurgery at the University at Buffalo Neurosurgery and joined UBNS faculty as a dual-trained endovascular and cerebrovascular surgeon.

Dr. Lai’s research interests include understanding risk factors, genetics and sex differences in cerebrovascular diseases, including cerebral aneurysms, ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke. Presently, her research lab focuses on understanding the genomics of cerebrovascular diseases, cerebrovascular risk factors in women, and post-stroke/hemorrhage recovery and therapy.
